Hi Mr. Brevoort! Is Rogue a full time Avenger now? Will she have a more prominent role in Uncanny Avengers volume 2? Acuna often draws Rogue with a tight hoodie that hides her big hair and iconic stripe. She is literally faceless on many panels. Is this to make her less pretty and less likable? It just seems her lack if face removes her agency. Is she still exclusive to UA? Thanks for listening to fans even the gripes.

Rogue is an Avenger, but that doesn’t mean she can’t appear elsewhere as well, just like any other Avenger.

And her current costume is evocative of her original outfit, including the hood. Somebody who has to worry about bare-skin contact with other people would naturally tend to favor garb such as this.

And what’s the racional of having her wearing the costume from when she was a villain and attacked the Avengers? Wouldn’t she want to show their colleagues she has changed? Wearing a costume that reconnects her to that time of her life is not a wise move!

And by the way, all of her costumes covered her entire body, not just the original — although she doesn’t have to worry about skin contact anymore, since she gained control over her powers some time ago. I feel like the ones that write the character after AvX don’t care for what happened to her the last 10 years, since she seems to have the same personality traits she had in the 80’s (even though she had become much more of a grown up in her X-Men Legacy run).

I hope Bendis gets to do something with her, rather sooner than later. I don’t like how decompressed his writing is, but at least he does his homework!
